About Me
For most of my life I've known I wanted to work with people. They fascinated me. Their stories intrigued me. I was drawn to listen to what made people who they were.
After school I studied Arts, Majoring in Sociology with Minors in Psychology and Women’s Studies. I then followed on to a Bachelor of Social Work. I worked predominantly with homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol, youth and women for more than 15years. My career in social work challenged me both personally and professionally. It opened me to the incredible resilience people possess and brought me to a profound belief in hope. I saw people grow and change and find a version of themselves they didn’t know they had. And at the same time I was drawn to this path of change myself.
I had always felt compelled to know myself…always questing to find something I knew was there inside me… This desire gave me a passion for travel, for exploration of unknown places within the world and within myself. It prompted me to study Eastern Philosophy, astrology, energetic healing, narrative therapy, mindfulness and kundalini yoga amongst other more traditional areas. Through this process I found a teacher who taught me the quest I was on was ‘to be the most me I could be… it was that easy and that hard!’ She taught me that deep within all of us was a truly unbroken light. And as Carl Jung suggested the journey to find this light was done by making the darkness conscious.
I have based my life and my practice on this quest...the evolution of consciousness.
I believe that if we can create a space to hear ourselves we will know what we need to do to be the most authentic versions of Ourselves and live the life we want to live.
