About My Practice

In my private practice, I am motivated by a desire to support individuals to be the best version of themselves; enhancing their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. I am and have always been passionate about working with people and I endeavour to provide professional and ethical support in a dynamic and tailored way.

My approach to therapy is eclectic because I believe no one school of thought has all of the answers. The theories and techniques that I use combine Western psychology as well as Eastern and Western spiritual disciplines. This includes some of the following: - cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), existential psychology, narrative therapy, soul centred psychotherapy, mindfulness and meditation, and psychodynamic theory.

My fundamental philosophy views the individual as a whole and unbroken at the core.  Through exploration, I support people to connect with their inner resources, power, strength and resilience. I believe that we all have the potential for growth, healing and change. With the appropriate support, people can move through habits, patterns, behaviours and other blocks that prevent them from living life at its fullest. When we make decisions consciously we are more able to create a life that provides us with a sense of belonging, connectedness, value, meaning and purpose.

In my private practice I work with clients in the following areas: -

  • Addiction

  • Anger

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Gender identity

  • Sexuality issues

  • Grief and loss

  • Finding value, meaning and purpose in life

  • Food and body image

  • Fertility

  • Adoption

  • Relationship and family issues

  • Self-esteem/worth/confidence

  • Trauma

  • Stress management

  • Health and well-being

  • Spiritual crisis & awakening

  • Energetic healing

I also have a strong interest and extensive experience in providing clinical supervision. I have supervised social workers, psychologists, students, community development and youth workers.  I feel confident in my capacity to support my supervisees to deepen their work and further assist their clients.
